Description
Our formula is phenylalanine-free, allowing for increased intact protein intake. It includes L-tyrosine, crucial for infants with PKU, as well as L-carnitine and taurine to match levels found in human milk. Approximately 40% of energy is derived from fat for acceptable formula osmolality, with 6.6% as linoleic acid. Specifically designed for infants and toddlers, it ensures adequate nutrient intake when administered following Abbott Nutrition Support Protocols.

This formula is not intended to serve as the sole source of nutrition and must be supplemented with prescribed amounts of protein and fluid to fully meet phenylalanine and water requirements. It is important to refrain from boiling the mixture or using terminal sterilization methods. Additionally, microwave heating should be avoided as it can lead to serious burns. Furthermore, this formula is not suitable for intravenous administration.
